Fahad Ali Al Ansari
Chief Executive Officer
Fahad Ali Al Ansari joined Gasal in 2023 as the Chief Executive Officer, bringing nearly three decades of expertise in Qatar’s energy sector across technical, commercial, marketing and executive leadership roles.
Prior to joining Gasal, Fahad held senior positions at QatarEnergy, RasGas (now QatarEnergy LNG) and the Ministry of Electricity and Water. Throughout his career, he has led both commercial and marketing functions, in addition to managing major capital projects across Qatar where his role included project management, development, maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives while embedding quality, health, safety and environmental standards into daily operations.
Within Gasal, he provides strategic leadership, ensuring the company’s growth, operational excellence, and long-term success. Committed to upholding the company’s core values, he fosters a culture of safety, integrity, innovation and efficiency while actively engaging with shareholders and stakeholders, aligning corporate strategy and driving business excellence.
Fahad has also served on the Boards of Directors of key organisations in the petrochemical, industrial, and energy sectors, holding positions such as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Member.
He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and has completed executive training programmes from renowned global academic institutions including Harvard University and INSEAD.
Khalid Al Rasheed
Chief Business Excellence Officer
Khalid Al Rasheed joined Gasal in 2016 and currently serves as Chief Business Excellence Officer, bringing over 15 years of experience in operational excellence and HSE management.
He began his career at Qatar Petroleum (now QatarEnergy) as a Shift Supervisor, later advancing to Operations Engineer in 2012. He then joined Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) as Assistant Head of Health, Safety and Environment, where he played a key role in enhancing safety protocols and operational standards.
Khalid is recognised for his expertise in implementing best practices in operational efficiency and safety compliance.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and has undertaken professional development programmes focused on SHE-Q and operational business excellence.
Elias Nasr
Chief Operating Officer
Elias Nasr joined Gasal as Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 15 years of experience in industrial operations, process control, and smart manufacturing systems.
Before joining Gasal, Elias held senior roles at Air Liquide, including leadership at the AMEI Smart Innovative Operations Center (SIOC), where he oversaw the Remote Operation Control Center, the LEAD Center (Leading Enterprise Analysis and Diagnostics Center), and Smart Manufacturing strategies. In this role he also ensured optimal plant performance and reliability while developing mid-term operational strategies. He also held key roles in commissioning and maintenance management.
At Gasal, Elias plays a strategic role in streamlining processes, driving operational excellence, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety across all Gasal operations.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering – Industrial Control from the Lebanese University and is recognised as an International Technical Community Leader in Smart Manufacturing (Process Control, Instrumentation and Industrial IT) by Air Liquide.
Maurice Atieh
Chief Commercial Officer
Maurice Atieh currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering, project management and commercial operations across the industrial gases and construction sectors.
Maurice began his career as a Mechanical Engineer focusing on mechanical and medical gas system installation for an orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital project related to the Qatar 2006 Asian Games. He then joined Air Liquide Engineering Middle East as a Construction Engineer and later became a Construction Manager.
Since joining Gasal in 2010, Maurice has held several key managerial roles, including Technical Manager and Project Manager for production and transmission expansion projects. He then transitioned to Gasal’s commercial activities, serving as Commercial Manager and Energy Manager. In 2020, Maurice assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer, leading sales, customer relationship management and new business development across all business lines.
Throughout his tenure at Gasal, Maurice has successfully led and delivered numerous strategic growth projects and initiatives. These efforts have contributed to sustainable and diversified business growth across all products and business lines, enhanced customer experience and delivered commercial success.
Maurice holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon.
Abdulaziz Al Kuwari
Chief Financial Officer
Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari joined Gasal as Chief Financial Officer, bringing over three decades of extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning and corporate governance within the energy and financial sectors.
Prior to joining Gasal, Abdulaziz held senior financial leadership roles at Qatar Petroleum (now QatarEnergy), RasGas (now QatarEnergy LNG) where he held roles such as Head of Management Reporting, Accounting Manager, Treasury Manager and Treasurer; and Qatar National Bank as Senior Management Accountant.
His leadership has been instrumental in optimising financial performance, bond launches, risk management and driving sustainable growth across complex financial portfolios.
Abdulaziz holds a Degree in Accountancy from Beirut Arab University, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the USA, and is a Chartered Auditor in Qatar.
Yelena Dash
Chief Contracts & Procurement Officer
Yelena Dash currently serves as Chief Contracts and Procurement Officer bringing over 24 years of experience in contracts, procurement, and supply chain management, particularly within the energy and industrial gases sector.
Previously, Yelena held key roles managing EPC contractor agreements and procurement strategies, focusing on optimising supply chain efficiency and cost management. Her career began as a Technical Translator in a Chevron joint venture in Kazakhstan before advancing into procurement and contracts management, where she developed robust expertise in vendor relations and contract negotiations.
Her extensive expertise in contracts and procurement has been instrumental in driving the successful execution of large-scale contracts for Gasal, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strategic value across Gasal’s operations.
Yelena holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Linguistics from the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University, Russia, along with a CIPS Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
Mohamed Al Mannai
Chief Human Capital Officer
Mohamed Aman Al Mannai joined Gasal as Chief Human Capital Officer in 2016, bringing over two decades of experience in workforce planning and organisational development across the energy and industrial sectors.
Before joining Gasal, Mohamed held key leadership roles at Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) including Planning Engineer and Maintenance Coordination Engineer; and at Al Shaheen Holding, a fully owned subsidiary of QatarEnergy, as Head of Planning.
His technical and management expertise includes human resources frameworks, talent management, leading the company’s Qatarization strategy and driving employee engagement initiatives to support organisational engagement and Gasal’s success.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami, USA.
