Sustainability

Gasal is fully aligned with its shareholders sustainability goals. Since its establishment, Gasal has rapidly embarked on its goal to create fully integrated industrial gases production and distribution hubs in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed industrial cities. Gasal has delivered safe, reliable, cost effective industrial gases to local industries, driving their performance, maximizing synergies whilst contributing to the sustainable development of the State of Qatar in line with its 2030 National Vision (QNV 2030).

 



Energy Efficiency

Gasal’s ambition is to deliver long term operational excellence and value co-creation, provide its stakeholders with innovative, sustainable and high quality integrated solutions to meet their growing demands safely and reliably while contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. Energy efficiency is one of our Key Performance Indicators which we continuously monitor and exert efforts to optimize energy consumption. 

Environment

Waste Management

Gasal is committed to preserving the environment and its natural ecosystem. Hence, we have successfully implemented waste management procedures at our sites. While minimization of waste generation is a key principle that we follow, we have also implemented procedures to dispose of the waste. The waste is segregated based on hazardous, domestic and inert waste categories. We closely work with local suppliers to dispose of the waste in an environment friendly manner and following the local regulations.

Water Management 

Gasal understands that water is a scarce resource. Hence, optimization of water usage and minimization of wastewater generation is the key principal of our operation. Gasal depends on water for its activities, using it in cooling towers and heat exchangers in the production of air gases. We have successfully optimized our process to minimize water consumption and zero discharge of wastewater. We are using the state of art technology to optimize our water consumption and use the wastewater for value added purposes.
